THE Trefnant chip shop has been a firm favourite for locals for a number of years.

The chippie is located in the small village between St Asaph and Denbigh and shares its location with a funeral director, a tattooist and a hypnotist.

Some might argue that's all the shops you need in life, whilst others will be more than happy just to make it through the hallowed chip shop doors.

This small unassuming chip shop looks like you are entering someone's house from the outside.

It is located on a busy crossroads but there is a small car park right outside of it. It is quite tricky to get out of and you have to keep an eye out on the traffic lights changing from red to green.

It's a kind of word-of-mouth chippie which does well because of the quality of food. I had to search both high and low to find its opening hours as they don't really do social media.

As soon as we entered the shop, the owner greeted us and was ready to serve.
