Speed limit 'anomaly' to be fixed with 30mph switch

WELSH Government is to cut the speed limit on a section of the A470 to remove an ‘anomaly’

The government wants to reduce the speed on the major road on the entrance into Blaenau Ffestiniog from the Crimea Pass.

The section is currently 40mph, which they said was an “anomaly” A 30mph limit will be imposed on the area instead.

Welsh Government also announced this week plans to spend £25million on fixing Welsh roads, including on the A470, which runs from Llandudno to Cardiff.

In the notice on the limit change, they said: “The proposed Order is necessary to remove an anomaly that currently exists with the current speed limit at this location.
