School shut and homes left without any water

PUPILS were sent home from a school and homes were left without supplies following a water outage in Flintshire.

Elfed High School in Buckley was shut early, which was initially said to be due to a burst main. Dwr Cymru/Welsh Water has now confirmed it was a technical issue, which has now been resolved.
A statement on the school's Facebook page said: "URGENT NOTICE - SCHOOL CLOSURE. Due to unforeseen circumstances, and as a result of a water leak in Buckley, the school will need to close early today. All pupils will be sent home at 11:55am.
