Police taser man after attempt to ram officers during 8-minute pursuit

A DRIVER was tasered after trying to ram officers during a pursuit through residential streets.

The incident was among several nighttime call-outs for North Wales Police (NWP) response and firearms officers in Wrexham.
The most serious occurred just after 12.30am on Saturday, January 17, when a vehicle failed to stop for NWP Wrexham Town roads crime officers on the Caia Park estate.
This led to a pursuit lasting around eight minutes through the residential areas of Acton, Borras and Rhosddu.
It ended on the Stansty Chain Road, which links to the A541 Mold Road. The fleeing driver attempted to ram officers but instead ended up stuck.
