Pacifico can be Windsor Don, Romanovich is Chepstow choice

Simon and Ed Crisford’s Southwell novice winner endured a luckless run on All-Weather Championships Finals Day at Newcastle when encountering traffic problems and has since turned in a couple of solid efforts in defeat.

He was unable to get seriously involved on his penultimate start back at Southwell, but pushed the hat-trick seeking Maelstrom close on his turf debut at Haydock last time out and there is definitely mileage in his revised mark of 84.

The father and son duo could also be on the mark with Durham Castle for the same connections in the Fitzdares Sprint Series Qualifier Handicap.

Having made his debut in October 2023 behind the useful Jarraaf, he had a wind op and was subsequently gelded.

That meant he was not seen again until May 2024 when a fair third at Yarmouth.
