CONNAH'S Quay Nomads cut the gap at the top of the JD Cymru Premier to a single point after coming from behind in the second half to beat Barry Town United 3-1 in the only game of the weekend.

Having ended 2025 on the highest of highs with a 3-1 home win over league leaders The New Saints, the Nomads signalled their intent to push for a first title since 2021 by opening their 2026 account with an eighth successive win to extend their unbeaten run in the league to 13 games.
