Man threw candle holder at partner's head before filming victim as she crawled away

A MAN threw a candle holder at his partner's head and filmed her as she tried to stem the bleeding.

Thomas Matthew Bell had attacked the woman who was left crawling on the floor to get a towel.

Bell, 37, of Wellington Road, Rhyl, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and other offences. He was given an 18 month jail term suspended for 18 months.

Richard Edwards, prosecuting, said Bell met his partner on social media. They had an on-off relationship which ended in June 2024.

That month a neighbour had heard screaming and rang 999. Police arrived and the victim told officers she had been injured by Bell in a previous incident six or seven weeks earlier.
