PUB CEILING COLLAPSED ON DRINKERS ... BUT BAR REOPENS AFTER 'UNBELIEVABLE EFFORT'

A PUB ceiling collapsed on drinkers during Storm Bram.

The storm brought gales and heavy rain, knocking down trees and flooding communities.

The storm also saw the ceiling come down at popular bar Bank of Conwy on Tuesday. A number of drinkers suffered minor injuries, and the bar said their thoughts are with all those affected.

But an “unbelievable effort” has now seen the bar reopen to customers. They thanked the community for rallying around, with support from other pubs and tradespeople dropping work to come to help them.
