Daily Post

A SHEEP was mauled to death by a dog in what police have described as a “vicious livestock attack” in rural Wrexham county.

Horror attack on sheep by 'powerful dog'

Officers believe the injuries were inflicted by a “large, powerful dog” and said it would have returned to its owner covered in blood.

The attack took place in a field adjacent to Pendre Farm in the Pontfadog area between Chirk and Llangollen, last Tuesday.

The sheep is believed to have been chased by the dog, sustaining fatal neck injuries.

North Wales Police (NWP) is now appealing for information from the public.
