Gueye stands out in defeat that Moyes can learn from

AS THE away end serenaded their side in the far corner, Idrissa Gueye removed his coat and took in the four stands of Goodison Park.
He was not on the pitch when this match ended in defeat to Manchester City.
But he was the last figure in Royal Blue to leave it after the final whistle.
A penny for his thoughts would be one well spent.
The combative midfielder had the honour of wearing the captain's armband for part of this match after James Tarkowski limped off early in the second half, a fitting privilege for a player who has been so talismanic across his two stints at the club.
He left the stage having put in another impressive shift.
The Senegal international was a thorn in the side of the illustrious visitors, disrupting their attacks and starting his own with several bursts through the middle to ease the pressure on his defence.
It was his departure that changed this game more than any other event.
Part of a triple substitution with just over 10 minutes to go, Everton lost their bite and for the first time on Saturday afternoon the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Omar Marmoush found the freedom to piece together attacks and work their way behind what had been a disciplined rearguard.
