Supernatural hunter break-in the final straw as asylum seeker row site boarded up after being targeted by thieves & arsonists
A FORMER care home at the centre of an asylum row has been boarded up after a series of break-ins.
Its owner claimed Oak Alyn Hall was targeted by thieves and arsonists - but the final straw was a "shocking and unexpected" break-in by a ghost hunter.
Manchester immigration lawyer Bilal Babar claimed this prompted him to place the property in Sydallt, near Gwersyllt, Wrexham, on the market.
The 20-bed former manor house is listed for auction on April 14-15 with a guide price exceeding £400,000.
Police began patrolling the three-acre site in January following a fire at another care home in nearby Cefn-y-Bedd, Flintshire.
At the time, local opposition was building against Oak Alyn's planned conversion to a 28-bed house of multiple occupancy (HMO).
When patrolling officers found a smashed window and smoke-blackened wall, Mr Babar claimed the building had been damaged in an "arson attack".
He's since been made aware of more forced entries.
