Energy firm wants wind turbine and solar panel scheme in countryside

AN energy company is proposing building a wind farm and solar scheme in the Conwy countryside.
Windjen Power Ltd has submitted a scoping application to the Welsh Government, ahead of plans for a full application.
The site is located near the villages of Llanelian and Bryn-y-Maen with the nearest town, Colwyn Bay, around 2 miles away.
Under the current indicative proposal there would be six wind turbines with an installed capacity of 4.26 MW each.
The maximum height of the turbine blades would be 150m. In addition the developer wants a solar scheme generating up to 24.34MW.
Scoping documents have been submitted to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) by consultants Dulas Ltd.
