Broadhead earns the plaudits from Ryan & boss after slick show

R Y A N REYNOLDS revelled in the scenes of celebration after Nathan Broadhead scored a majestic goal for Wrexham.

The Wales international forward opened the scoring for the Red Dragons on Wednesday night as they beat Bristol City 2-0 at the Racecourse Ground.

The home side sealed the win in the 74th minute when George Thomason’s corner hit the post and ricocheted into the net off Robins goalkeeper Radek Vitek.

The result lifted Wrexham, co-owned by Reynolds and fellow actor Rob Mac, up to 10th in the Championship table, just two points off the playoff spots.

Deadpool star Reynolds will no doubt be delighted by Phil Parkinson's side's current seven-game unbeaten league run.

However, the Canadian was especially pleased by Broadhead’s knee-slide celebration after he fired home a curling effort during the first half.

Sharing a clip of the goal on Instagram, Reynolds wrote: “Knee slide rating: 9.7.”

Broadhead has experienced a stop-start beginning to life at Wrexham after joining from Ipswich for a club-record fee of £7.5million during the summer.
