No suspicious circumstances in death of diver, 60
A DIVER has tragically died at Dorothea Quarry.
Emergency services were called to the site in Gwynedd on Saturday, before the body of a 60-year-old man was recovered.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “Police attended the Dorothea Quarry area of Caernarfon following a report of an incident involving a diver.
“Emergency services attended the location which sadly resulted in the body of a 60-year-old man being recovered.
“The man’s family have been informed.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious, and the coroner is aware.
Dorothea quarry closed in 1970, bringing to an end 150 years of mining history.
