IKEA yesterday opened its store on the Greyhound Retail Park, just a few hundred yards across the Welsh border in Chester.

The opening has been keenly anticipated by many Daily Post readers - before yesterday, the Swedish giant’s nearest stores were in Warrington and Birmingham.
The opening was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Lord Mayor of Chester, Councillor Sherin Akhta, as well as 35 coworkers from the store.
