SOUTH Africa's netball team delivered a crushing blow to two-time World Cup runners-up England, securing a 65-50 series-winning victory in Johannesburg on Sunday.
The South Africans were showered with praise by England captain Fran Williams and coach Jess Thirlby.
Williams, who was named ‘Defender of the Series, reflected on the match with palpable disappointment.
“Were really disappointed with how we showed up today. We weren't good enough right from the start of the game,’ Williams stated.
Williams acknowledged the Proteas’ superiority in both defence and attack.
“Credit to the Proteas, they were better than us today in defence and attack,” she said.
