Profanities in the highest office

IN THE heat of battle, sports stars are often the ones who shout all manner of profanities; at their opponents, referees or umpires and at themselves, when things go wrong.

Given the jeopardy a failure, fault or fumble carries for the affected parties on the field of play, there are spectators who might accept such outbursts as par for the course.

For others, especially those who are catching the action in the company of young children, such uncensored moments - athletes having meltdowns are jarring and uncomfortable.

Can you imagine their discomfort when bleep, bleep utterances are picked up by microphones at live broadcasts of sporting events.
