Of a hangover. For the first trip, we were taken by coach to the hilltop town of Taormina for a guided walk. You could choose whether to do the faster or slower talk with headphones, depending on the severity of your headache.

Taormina was a fascinating place, difficult to access but very rewarding when you are there, steeped in history, and we learned about its many conquerors. It is so beautiful it captured

We were so impressed we decided one visit wasn't enough, so on one of our free days, we organised our own trip to the town and its even more isolated neighbour above Castelmola.
