ALISON Hammond has turned down the chance to host Strictly Come Dancing and has also had to snub Celebrity Traitors as her schedule is just too packed.

The much-loved presenter, 51, was a contestant on BBC's Saturday night staple in 2014, finishing 10th with her pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

But she has confirmed that she will not be taking one of the slots opened by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s departures when the show returns this autumn.

Alison told Radio Times: “I'm so busy that I'm not sure it [Strictly Come Dancing] is going to happen. It's unrealistic.

“I'm so happy they considered me but, like Traitors, I can't do it because everything clashes.

“I would have loved to have done it. Anybody that gets it, they're going to land the perfect job. But I'm so happy with everything I've got. What would I drop, to do Strictly?”
