OLLIE CHESSUM starts his reign as Leicester club captain today convinced Tigers can go the extra mile and land the Prem title.

The lock (above) lines up against Harlequins for his first start of the season after a campaign where they hit the deepest lows and just missed out on the highest of highs.

Thrashed 80-12 by Toulouse in Europe in January, the Midlanders, under Michael Cheika, rallied to make the Prem final - missing out to Bath 23-21 in June.

Now, Chessum is convinced they can deliver this time and the 25-year-old said: "Toulouse was the worst defeat in the club's history and to say you were part of that is embarrassing. You must always look back and just make sure you never go through a result like that again.
