Regular walking 'cuts Alzheimer's risk'

A LONG-TERM study has found that walking more than 5,000 steps a day may cut your risk of Alzheimer's.

The research over 14 years suggests it may slow cognitive decline and the buildup of a protein linked to the disease.

Scientists say people who already have the earliest signs of Alzheimer’s in their brains may benefit from modest amounts of exercise to slow down dementia.
