'Rape priest not coercive'

A FORMER priest accused of raping a woman and assaulting others in an alleged cult has denied brainwashing his flock.

Prosecutors say Christopher Brain, 68, abused his position as leader of the evangelical movement the Nine O'Clock Service to attack his female followers.

They also accuse him of exerting control over their lives and ostracising them from friends and family.
