PEP GUARDIOLA admitted he will need to nurture his Manchester City side until they learn to “grow up”.

City had to settle for a point at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday after Arsenal dominated proceedings - and eventually levelled through Gabriel Martinelli’s injury-time strike - following Erling Haaland’s early opener.

It was not a typical performance from Guardiola’s side, who have just two wins from their opening five matches.

But Guardiola said: “I'm really proud of this fight (we showed). We recover many, many things that last season we were missing. We have an incredible spirit.

“Of course, we cannot sustain for all the season playing the way we played.
