A POLICE officer who attacked her mum after getting drunk on cocktails has been sacked.

PC Leanne Counter repeatedly punched mother Julie in a car after a man agreed to give them a lift home, a disciplinary hearing heard.

The Cleveland Police officer was so drunk on Fireball whisky cocktails that she knew nothing of the incident until her father came to her home the following day, the panel was also told.

The violent outburst came after a family gettogether erupted into chaos on Boxing Day 2023.

The Counter family went to a pub, then back to the Teesside home of PC Counter's sister, Lyndsey.
