Former fiancee of Shoreham airshow victim wants police to reopen a case

- DAN WARBURTON

'No justice...no closure'

THE ex-partner of a man killed in the Shoreham airshow disaster says there should be another criminal investigation into the tragedy.

Tanya Hewstone, 30, is to launch a petition calling for another probe into the crash on August 22, 2015, that killed her 23-year-old former fiance Daniele Polito and 10 others as she feels there has been no justice or closure.

The tragedy left Tanya and Daniele's son Georgio, then three, fatherless.

Pilot Andy Hill was pulled alive from the wreckage of a Hawker Hunter T7 jet after a failed loop-the-loop led to it crashing on to the A27, engulfing several vehicles in a deadly fireball.

He was found not guilty of manslaughter in 2019.
