MasterChef's John Torode on wife Lisa & new host Grace Dent

JOHN Torode has thanked new MasterChef host Grace Dent for standing by him in the wake of his sacking from the show.

Torode was axed after an allegation of using a racist term was upheld by the BBC, which he denies. He described Grace's support as unfailing and blasted his detractors as a "cult".

Grace, 52, starred alongside Torode, 60, on Celebrity MasterChef 2025, which was filmed before he was sacked in July last year.

Writing on his Substack, he also called wife Lisa, 53, his rock and "wonder woman".
