Scot will be a wanted man this summer after split from Djok

- NEIL McLEMAN

MURRAY HURRY

ANDY MURRAY will be in demand for the grasscourt season after the Scot split with Novak Djokovic yesterday.

And the Serbian superstar is now seeking a new plan before his bid to win a record 25th Grand Slam singles title later this year at Wimbledon.

The glamorous coaching relationship between the two tennis legends was announced in November but lasted only six months, covering just four events where they worked directly together.

Djokovic, who turns 38 next week, has lost his last three matches and pulled out of this week's Rome Masters. He has a very average 12-7 record this season.

The Murray camp insist the split is mutual and amicable but the timing is still surprising with the French Open starting on Sunday week and Wimbledon on June 30.

Djokovic wrote on social media: "Thank you, coach Andy, for all the hard work, fun & support over last six months on & off the court, really enjoyed deepening our friendship together."
