Kerr fired up for another battle with bitter rival Ingebrigtsen

JOSH KERR can't wait to renew his bitter rivalry with Jakob Ingebrigtsen for 1500m gold at the World Championships.

The pair were locked in a war of words before last year's Olympic final in Paris, with Ingebrigtsen claiming that he could beat Kerr "blindfolded".

It appeared Kerr, 27, would have the last laugh when he ran clear down the final straight, but they were both caught unaware by American Cole Hocker, who nipped in to nab the main prize (right).

This year's World Championships is expected to be wide open, with Ingebrigtsen battling an Achilles injury for much of the season.
