SIR NICK FALDO claims Harry Hall is a candidate for a Ryder Cup wildcard.

The European team's six automatic places will be finalised after this weekend's Betfred British Masters at the Belfry.

Only Dane Rasmus Hojgaard can force his way into the team by overtaking sixth-placed Shane Lowry.

It is possible that the European team will look exactly the same as 2023 in Rome, barring Hojgaard replacing his twin brother Nicolai.

But Hall is a dark horse candidate after the world No.54 qualified for the Tour Championship in Atlanta, starting today.

And the Cornwallian tops the PGA stats for putting average (1.679) and putts per round (27.46) - and is joint top for birdie average (4.54 per round) along with world No.1 Scottie Scheffler.
