Hunt goes on for Muriel amid 'mistaken identity' abduction

MURIEL McKay was abducted after kidnappers broke into her Wimbledon home on December 29, 1969.

The target had been Rupert Murdoch's then-wife Anna, but they got the wrong woman after following the media mogul's Rolls-Royce, which he had loaned to Mrs McKay's husband, Alic.

It was the first kidnap in modern British history and a huge story.

Trinidadian brothers Nizamodeen and Arthur Hosein were later jailed for kidnapping and killing Mrs McKay. Her body has never been found.
