GB stars told: Meddle with schedules to avoid wipeout

BRITAIN’S track and field stars may need to overhaul their schedules according to athletics chief Jack Buckner after their worst World Championship return in 22 years.

Great Britain and Northern Ireland left Tokyo without a gold medal. The only previous time that happened was in 2003 in Paris.

It comes off the back of 10 medals in the French capital last summer at the Olympics, and double figures at the last Worlds in Budapest in 2023.
