Four finalists for best pub award are named

A PUB that was brought back from disrepair is in the running for Britain's best boozer.

The Blackfriars Tavern in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, had been shut for five years when it was purchased during the first Covid lockdown and revived.

It has now been shortlisted for the Campaign for Real Ale's National Pub of the Year 2025 competition - fresh from being awarded the group's Cider and Perry Pub of the Year earlier this month.
