COST MEANS BIG DROP IN DELIVERIES

ROYAL Mail has seen posted letters and cards fall by 130 million since raising the cost of a first class stamp in October.

The former state-owned firm - poised to be bought by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky - upped the price by 30p to £1.65, the fifth increase in less than three years.
