JARROD BOWEN insists his spat with West Ham fans shows just how much he loves the club.

- BY JOHN CROSS

Bowen got involved in a row with travelling supporters after West Ham lost at Wolves in the Carabao Cup but later apologised on social media.

The Hammers skipper (above) then really made amends by scoring in the club's win at Nottingham Forest last weekend and also celebrated his England recall.

Bowen admits that the Londoners have had a tough start - compounded by West Ham's fan advisory board issuing a vote of no confidence in the club's hierarchy - but believes they have turned the corner.

He said: “It’s bad when you're 2-1 up with, I think, 15 minutes to go and you end up losing the game. Obviously I was disappointed and angry for letting the lead go, and then you get caught up in amongst it with fans.
