'Enormously consequential'

TRANS women cannot use single-sex female spaces or compete in women's sports after this week's Supreme Court ruling, a watchdog said.
On Wednesday, five senior judges unanimously said a woman is defined by biological sex under equalities law.
And yesterday, Equality and Human Rights Commission chairwoman Baroness Kishwer Falkner said the ruling brings clarity and is "enormously consequential".
She also vowed to pursue organisations that do not update their policies.
Asked if it is now a simple case that trans women cannot take part in women's sport, she told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "Yes, it is. On changing rooms and toilets, she added: "Single-sex services like changing rooms must be based on biological sex.
