'Dont give up Angela's dreams of work rights'

UNION leaders have urged Labour not to retreat on the workers rights' plans championed by Angela Rayner, despite her quitting.

The Employment Rights Bill now making its way through Parliament offers beefed-up protections for workers on issues ranging from unfair dismissal to fire-and-rehire and exploitative zero-hours contracts.

But Ms Rayner’s departure from government, and the sacking of Employment Rights Minister Justin Madders, have sparked concern.
