NEWCASTLE will be going big-game hunting after Red Bull completed a buyout of the club which threatens to turn English rugby on its head.

The energy drinks giant, valued in excess of £15billion, has promised to transform the Premiership's bottom club into title challengers.

The exciting new era for rugby in the North East will bring with it a name change to Newcastle Red Bulls - and the prospect of some serious firepower arriving at Kingston Park.

Director of rugby Steve Diamond (above) said: “It's not going to be a sleeping giant any more. It's awoken.

“There's a buzz around the place. People have had very little to shout about but we can see the early green shoots of a very successful Newcastle Red Bulls.
