DEATH OF 'GIANT' LEWIS

RACING saluted “a giant in the racing game” as the death at 89 of Geoff Lewis, forever synonymous with the great Mill Reef, was announced yesterday. Born in Talgarth in south Wales, Lewis moved to London to work in the Waldorf Hotel before becoming apprenticed to Epsom trainer Ron Smyth.
