PRINCE William threatened to take away the titles of Prince Andrew's daughters if they did not persuade him to leave Royal Lodge, it is claimed.

- BY JENNIFER NEWTON Deputy Royal Editor and RUSSELL MYERS Royal Editor

The accusation was made by former Newsnight host Emily Maitlis, who famously grilled Andrew in 2019.

Andrew has been under pressure over the mounting scandal of his links to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and the deal which means he barely pays any rent on the 30-room Windsor mansion.

Kensington Palace insisted no meeting between William and his cousins took place, and constitutionally the Prince of Wales cannot remove anyone's titles.

But Ms Maitlis, on her News Agents podcast, said: "There was a question over whether there had been a meeting between Prince William and the princesses, Beatrice and Eugenie, saying you guys have to get your dad to move out of Royal Lodge otherwise we will start reexamining the state of your own titles.
