Sunak puts UK on £87bn 'war footing'

BRITAIN will boost its defence spending to £87billion a year by 2030, Rishi Sunak has revealed.

The Prime Minister made the funding commitment as he said the world was entering its most dangerous phase since the end of the Cold War,

On a visit to Poland yesterday, Mr Sunak pledged to hike spending on defence to 2.5% of the UK's GDP by the end of the decade.
