CHICAGO made Caleb Williams the NFL's No.1 draft pick in 2024 and handed the young quarterback a $40million contract, expecting him to turn round a team in the doldrums.
After a steep learning curve in a painful rookie season, the 24-year-old from Washington DC is paying back that deal with interest as the Bears finally seem to have turned a corner after going 14 years without a win in the playoffs.
They have won seven of their first 10 games this season after winning just five in the whole of 2024.
