MI6 boss's stark warning .over World War III threat

THE head of MI6 today warns the UK is already on the front line in a conflict against Russia, in the intelligence agency's most serious World War Three alert in years.

Blaise Metreweli's message comes as her teams of spies tackle the escalating threat from the Kremlin every day.

In her first public address since taking office in June, Britain's top spy - codenamed “C” - will say the UK is facing a new “age of uncertainty”.

And in a stark message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, she will underline the UK's unwavering support for Ukraine, vowing Britain will not ease off from supporting Kyiv.

The first female MI6 boss will deliver her keynote address from its London headquarters and highlight Russia's central policy of exporting “chaos”.

She says: "The front line is everywhere", but adds, "Putin should be in no doubt, our support is enduring.

"The pressure we apply on Ukraine's behalf will be sustained. The export of chaos is a feature not a bug in the Russian approach to international engagement and we should be ready for this to continue until Putin is forced to change his calculus."

The UK is facing a tsunami of disinformation and propaganda aimed at destabilising society and trust in government institutions.
