Triptans top huge patient trials
THE most effective drugs for tackling the misery of migraines have been revealed.
Oxford University scientists reviewed 89,000 patients given one of 17 pills or a placebo in 137 controlled trials.
Prescription painkillers triptans came out top, performing better than newer, expensive drugs - but scientists say they are being under-used.
