Terror cops probing Iran links as Jewish ambulances torched

COUNTER-TERROR officers were last night trying to track down three men who torched four Jewish charity ambulances.

And they were investigating whether an Iranian-backed group was behind the horrific attack.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed his disgust at the attack, saying: “This is not an isolated incident and the rise of anti-Semitic hatred is there for all to see.”

Police and fire crews were called at 1.45am yesterday after 56 people called 999 about explosions in Golders Green, North London.

Terrified witnesses told how they watched in horror as the fire took hold outside a synagogue.

Dad-of-four Max Reisner described how he heard “very, very loud explosions”. In a video he took, a man could be heard screaming “fire, fire” in the background.

When the third ambulance, run by the charity Hatzola, exploded, he was just 15 yards away and the force of the blast threw him backwards.
