Jury rules chopper death crash was accident

THE helicopter crash that killed five people at Leicester City's stadium was an accident, an inquest jury has ruled.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, 60, the Premier League club's owner, was among those who died when the aircraft spun out of control and smashed into the ground.

Pilots Eric Swaffer, 53, and Izabela Roza Lechowicz, 46, Vichai's butler Kaveporn Punpare, 33, and assistant Nusara Suknamai, 32, were also killed.

After the inquest at Leicester town hall, senior coroner Catherine Mason paid tribute to the victims, who died in October 2018.
