£1m for ill miners in NHS men's health plan

MINERS facing the risk of respiratory disease will get more support from the NHS under England’s first Men's Health Strategy.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting vowed to give support to men in former mining communities, who have historically suffered from health inequalities after a life down the pit.
As part of the strategy, expected to be unveiled on International Men's Day tomorrow, £1 million will be pledged nationally for respiratory medicine.
