Private security officer remanded over alleged video recording of Chief Justice's vehicle

A private security officer, accused of allegedly video recording the vehicle carrying Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena, was ordered to be remanded till September 10 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama yesterday.
Police told the court that the incident occurred when the Chief Justice, accompanied by his security officers, visited his residence in the Gregory's Road area of Colombo and returned. According to investigators from the Cinnamon Gardens Police, the suspect was seen filming the Chief Justice's vehicle, including the security convoy, using a mobile phone.
