FORMER PSD CONSTABLE REMANDED TILL APRIL 22.

Former Police Constable of the Presidential Security Division (PSD) was remanded till April 22 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Bandara Illangasinghe yesterday over allegations of defrauding over 1.1 billion by showing photos of luxury vehicles held at customs and convincing individuals that he could provide them at prices lower than market value.
Suspect, Asanka Sanjeewa Bandara, was arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) while at a social club two nights ago and was produced in court yesterday. According to FCID, 9 warrants had been issued against the suspect based on this incident. It was further
