Softlogic Life grows 29% with GWP of Rs. 28.2 b for 9 months

SOFTLOGIC Life Insurance PLC said yesterday it continued exceptional growth trajectory in the third quarter of 2025, reporting a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of Rs. 28.2 billion for the nine months ending 30 September 2025, a robust 29% year-on-year growth compared to the same period last year.

The company also recorded Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs. 3.3 billion, while Profit After Tax (PAT) was Rs. 2.3 billion. Softlogic Life’s total assets reached Rs. 59 billion, with total equity standing at Rs. 11.6 billion. The company maintained a strong Return on Equity (ROE) of 24% for the period and a healthy Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) of 298% (as at 31 December 2024), significantly above the regulatory requirement of 120%.

Reaffirming its commitment to delivering on its promises, Softlogic Life said it continued to excel in claims management. During the nine months, the company disbursed Rs. 13.5 billion in claims and benefits, a reflection of its unwavering dedication to protecting and supporting policyholders. Of this Rs. 9.5 billion was for claims relating to health and other protection covers, that excluded maturities and surrenders, compared to Rs. 8 billion in 2024 reinforcing Softlogic Life’s leadership in the health insurance sector, where it commands a 36% market share as at end 2024.
