Reshan and India's Asara win Prima Sunrise Junior Open Golf Championship

THE Prima Sunrise Junior Open Golf Championship 2025 concluded successfully at the scenic, Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, bringing together nearly 80 young junior golfers for three days of competitive golf with star studded, Reshan Algama securing the Boys Gold segment while Indian girl, Asara Sawhney had one horse race in her segment to stamp her class in the Hill Country last weekend.

The prestigious junior event continued to receive strong backing from Prima Sunrise, who supported the tournament for the 17th consecutive year, playing a vital role in developing junior golf in Sri Lanka.
The championship once again showed the depth of emerging talent, with golfers competing across several age categories. Over three demanding rounds, the juniors demonstrated impressive technique, composure and competitive spirit while battling the cool conditions and challenging layout of the historic hill-country course.
